A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius

History
It 's a cold winter one in which a middle class family of Chicago was swept away in a few months, with a dual, unacceptable loss. So Dave, twenty-two, to find himself one day to another to father and mother to the little Toph, just eight years. The world awaits the two of them and have no intention of doing so wait: Dave sells the family home, gets in his car and goes along with the little brother to the California sun, turning a devastating event in the beginning of a new life full of freedom ... Thus begins the story, imbued with tenderness, innocence, self-awareness and disarming megalomania, the story of a twenty year old now struggling with baby-sitting, pre-cooked dinners, MTV, and the digital revolution. "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" is an unexpected and compelling book, but it is also exploring the new frontieredella soprattuttoun'affascinante and contemporary literature.
Comment
Dave Eggers reminiscent Enrico Brizzi and Nicholas Ammanniti fused together, but still has a style all its own, very special. I really liked this book, a work is funny, engaging and real. There is a subtle irony with which he faces the challenges of life that makes the hero an anti-hero, so easy to sympathize from the first page.
A reading that I recommend to everyone.
